Selenepilot

Privacy, in plain English

What's stored

Your Oura data (sleep, readiness, activity, heart rate, HRV, temperature, SpO2, stress, workouts and tags), your check-ins, your symptom log, your questions to Selene and any feedback.

Where

In a private Google Cloud storage bucket in the Steps Ventures account (US). It isn't on Selene's public website database, and it isn't sold or shared.

Who can see it

Mike German built and runs this pilot and has administrator access to the storage. He'll only look at your health data if you ask him to, or to fix something that's broken. His admin page shows usage counts and your feedback, not your health numbers. He gets an email when you sign in, connect Oura, leave feedback, or when a sync breaks.

AI

Insights and answers come from Google's Gemini model, run in the same Google Cloud account. It gets a summary of your numbers, not your name or email. Google doesn't use this data to train its models.

Research

Your data is not used for research or any dataset. That's off and there's no switch for it in this pilot.

Leaving

Settings has "Download everything" and "Delete everything". Delete removes your data from storage right away. You can also revoke Selene's access in the Oura app under Settings, Connected apps (on the web: cloud.ouraring.com).
